I am a biblical scholar and an ordained minister of the Word and Sacrament in the Presbyterian Church (USA). I hold a Doctor of Theology in New Testament at Duke Divinity School, a Master of Divinity from Princeton Theological Seminary, a Bachelor of Arts from Whitworth University, and an Associate of Arts from Spokane Falls Community College.
My doctoral dissertation focuses on age (young, old, and in-between) in Luke’s Gospel and Acts, and it argues that age diversity is part of how Luke’s narratives frame the inclusive kingdom of God—a vision that, I believe, should also impact the church today.
I have worked in PC(USA) congregations in Montana, North Carolina, and Pennsylvania, and after seminary, I spent a year as a pastoral resident in Northern Ireland. Currently, I work as the West Central Community Connector for the Presbytery of the Inland Northwest, practicing community development in a mixed-income neighborhood in Spokane. I am also an adjunct faculty member at Whitworth University.
